I think I am going to buy a small stereo for my daughters bedroom. I need something to play calming music cds. I figure if I am going to spend the money id like to get something I can enjoy when she is finished with it. So id like to find one the has an HD tuner, mp3/wma playback, sacd would be great, 2.1.... anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

You probably want something simple check out walmart they have lot's of simple stuff that will work for your daughter probably.

If you want a hifi system.

looka at this kind of combo, Behringer 2031p/cd player/stereo receiver with mp3 ability.

IMHO, you should not try to get double duty in this situation. Kids and electronics do not mix well. You should just get a cheap mini system from WalMart or Target. Since your daughter will eventually be pushing buttons and pulling doors on it, it will more than likely end up dying at some point in time well before your daugher is done with it :).

Yeah, I've got a "let paint the house" cd player... but I was just thinking for a few bucks it might be nice to have a good sounding mini system that I can start teaching her, "this is like daddys, you have to be gental with it" then maybe I won't have to worry as much about toys poked through woofer cones and such... lol

Hey Sounds Good, how old is your daughter?

Is she the cute one from the picture?
Because, if she is, maybe a Fisher Price radio would do just fine for now.

She's going to have whatever you get her now for quite a while. Might as well get something easy and durable that she can "learn" on. There's always going to be a learning curve, gentle is never picked up right away. Get her something nicer for her next one.
