Bookshelf speakers to capture vinyl sound as well as loud electro mp3s

Hey folks,

Recently, I've been really enthusiastic about getting into vinyl records. I just bought my first deck, a Yamaha P-350 (with a Pickering XSL 3000 cart.), and I'm very excited. I have yet to get an amp, but that should come soon.

Right now, I have some cheap $50 Logitech speakers with a sub that came with it. They sound good, but I'm looking for something more.

I want 2 bookshelf speakers that will bring out the "warm" sound that is characteristic of vinyl (I'll be playing classic 60s, 70s, and 80s rock).

I also need these speakers to be able to connect to my computer so I can dance alone in my room to loud electro (and yes, to impress my guests too), so I need them to sound good loud, and have powerful bass. My room is fairly small (~140 sq. ft.)

I'm willing to go as high as $300, but I'd rather have them in the $200-250 range.

Please let me know if you need more info, or if my price range is unrealistic.

Thank you!
