I don't listen to a pair of speakers thru a microphone. I listen to them thru my ears and if they sound good to me, I'll like them regardless of what was speced out on paper thru a microphone. Thats my point. I don't know why you are arguing over something as silly as this when in the past you correctly advocated "audition audition audition"

You can at least AB speakers at Futureshop, they have switches. When someone doesn't KNOW what they want, that is the best option. His question was regarding the sound between 2 different lines. You can flip between the two.

I'll argue all I want.

thanx for all you help guys , i was debating between PSB Energy RC and definitive speakers and i think i made up my mind with PSB . Yes i will post some pictures once i get them i allready have my stands for them....

How much are you paying for these speakers?

I take it that's the satyrdayaudio price for the b25's. Another postive thing about the PSB's is they are front ported and can be placed up against a wall. You guy's stateside are so fortunate with so many different options to buy. Here I've never seen them for less than 449.00/pair + 14% tax.

Now that explains it. Sometimes you have to pay a little more for what you want, but in the end its worth it. Besides it would be really dumb to buy a new speaker and then try to paint it.

Sorry to tell you, but I bought them black, wife didn't like maple either, for $285.00/Pair from Saturday Audio. You should have asked them for a quote. I don't know if they would have included freight inside the Continental USA, if they don't you got a good deal for $299.00 from HiFi...I understand that HiFi is gray market (overstock, b-stock, open box, etc), while SA is an authorized dealer selling a-stock, I might be mistaken about HiFi; so double check. I tried to buy some Monitor Audio (RS6) from HiFi, and even though they advertise as having four pairs in stock they answered five days later after my inquiry that they didn't have any, and didn't know when they would get some, that it was an error on their website; a sign of a liquidator, not an authorized dealer. Won't even try to do business with them again.

12 Gauge will suffice, unless you are running over 100 ft. to each speaker.

Speakers arrived yesterday...They sound awesome!!! I have rediscovered music. This is one of the best deals for your money. All the highs, mids, lows sound as intended by the musician. Clean sounds, detail, clarity are some of the things I noticed. And imaging, wow, even though I was 100% sure that the center was not playing, I had to stand up and get close to the center channel to make sure it was not playing, sound from left and right sounded as coming from the center, then there were pianos playing in the left side of my room, and violins in the right side, and wind instruments behind them. Hearing some jazz, I could hear the musician's breath blowing into the trumpet...amazing!!! I was living in a cave with my Sony HTIB; I have seen the light. I am sure the Marantz receiver also made a huge difference.

Congrats on your purchase. I figured you were gonna fall in love with them. I'm one of PSB's biggest fan boys and simply love their sound. You will not find a speaker in their price range that will lay out a better soundstage. If you like classical music, try picking up Tchaikovsky's violin concerto in D. This piece of work is a real acid test on a speakers treble reproduction and the B15s excel here. I own the older 1Bs and have them as my surrounds while using T45s as my fronts.
