In fact, it’s one of the few CD’s I have on my iPod in its entirety, and I think rejuvenated an incredible career that continues to produce quality mainstream jazz to this day.

Additional Info...

I was asked EXACTLY which tunes featured what would become Fourplay; that would be "Restoration" and "Just Listen", which are basically the tracks that Lee Ritenour played lead guitar on (and they're both great). If you pickup this CD, the liner notes make it easy to figure this out (along with the info given in the review). Also, I encourage you to checkout my review of Fourplay's debut CD (release shortly after this one) if you like that sound/style.

Enjoy!

What is that on the album cover? It looks like tooth decay and gingivitis.

LOL! That's actually an ORIGINAL Bob James painting. This was around the same time he started painting professionally, and he's had a couple of CD covers with his work on it. "Joy Ride" (one that I'd like to review eventually) comes to mind, and I think his new CD (coming out next month) has a Bob James original on the cover. The guy is nothing if not creative (and he's in his 60's now)!
