Blue-ray speakers - yea right!

I saw this article today indicating that Panasonic was coming out soon with all the components needed to create a blue-ray living room including speakers tuned to work with the other blue-ray components. I think that's aimed at the same people who spend a hundred bucks on a three-foot cable with 1.21 jigawatts of high-definition audio transfer.. um.. stuff.

My current speaker setup is just fine, thanks.

When CDs first came out, "digital ready" speakers, headphones, and probably other "digital ready" things were sold. It is simply marketing, which will probably work with some people who know nothing about what the equipment does.

Rofl. Bluray certified speakers. I think(hope) the speakers will be good for movies.
