I've looked through hundreds of threads and didn't see this so, I thought I'd start a thread to list Blu-Rays that feature the lossless audio formats, ie DD TrueHD or DTS MA.

That should include lossless PCM. I believe there are already sites that track this info.

Has anyone actually listened to DTS-MA yet?:D
Not yet, but I would imagine it sounds no differnt than TrueHD or PCM since it's all lossless. I can't wait for the PS3 to get DTS-HD MA decoding so I can rewatch the last Die Hard movie.

PS3 via optical. It will pass the core 5.1 at 1509kbps, so it is not full blown DTS-HD MA. I am waiting for the BD-50 :)

Let me show (one of the former reds) show you the easy way to find out.

Go to Blu-Ray stats.

http://www.blu-raystats.com/stats.php

Select DTS-MA. You might have to do it multiple times to get 5.1, 7.1, etc.

Next, select Dolby TrueHD--see above regarding selections.

Then, select PCM for all those crappy 1st and 2nd gen players from Sony, Philips, Samsung, etc. that didn't do what they were supposed to do. (Sorry, bad habit. Note: I don't hate PCM. I just hate players that can only do PCM.)

For the record, it's actually easier on Blu-Ray to select the discs that DON'T have lossless sound (*cough* Warner, *cough* Paramount) vs. HD DVD where most have high res but not quite lossless.

Yup

I have a couple of DTS MA discs: Pan's Labyrinth and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It sounds terrific. However, the PCM discs sound just as good IMO. In fact, the best sounding (and mixed) movie I own is 3:10 to Yuma (which is 7.1 PCM uncompressed).
Absolutely killer surround effects.
I have the Pioneer Elite bitstreaming to a Denon 3808.

For the easiest way to check and see which titles have what, use this excellently put together site:

http://www.blu-raystats.com/stats.php

You can sort by audio and see all the PCM titles, 24-bit PCM titles, dts-ma 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, etc., etc., etc.

To summarize, currently 66% of all Blu-ray Disc titles on the market feature lossless audio.

Code:
LPCM	203	40%
dts-ma	78	15%
TrueHD	56	11%

Wow, I'm a little bit surprised to see more DTS-MA titles than TrueHD.

Do you think TrueHD will eventually surpass both PCM and DTS-MA?

I know that LionsGate recently switched from DTS-MA to PCM. Beuna Vista/Disney released at least one title on TrueHD, and Sony recently used TrueHD instead of PCM.

With my luck, as soon as I get a DTS-MA (Internal Decoder) blu-ray player, every studio will stop making DTS-MA altogether!:D

Ha, ha, wouldn't that be a *****!

I'll bet you any money Paramount releases Indy 4 and Jurassic Park IV both with dts-ma.

I think Fox will stay with dts-ma and so too will MGM/UA. Sony seems to be using TrueHD now more than ever, Disney it's too early to tell. Universal were the biggest supporter of 1.5 Mbps dts on DVD, releasing 23 of the 40 dts 1.5 Mbps DVD's that ever saw the light of day.

I'm sure the sun is far from setting on dts-ma.

How are you guys getting the DTS-MA?

Panasonic DMP-BD30, Samsung 5000 or 1400?

Hooked to what receiver?
I have, Yamaha RX-V3800 (7.1) and Panasonic BD-30. I use netflix and I must say I am quite suprised how many movies that are encoded in DTS MA. I remember about 10 years ago when I bought my first Dolby Digital Receiver and how impressed I was with Twister in 5.1. I had that feeling all over again with DTS HD MA.
