blu-ray disc region?

I just ordered some blu-ray discs on amazon ...

my local dealer asked me a good question, "will they play on an asian version PS3?"

is there region encoding on blu-ray discs?

Here is the cool thing ps3s are region free so it won't matter

Edit: ps3s are only region free when it comes to games not movies my bad.

wow, thanks ... movies I have to avoid! ... depending on where I buy my ps3. (chicklet for you)

crap! the ps3 over here is just 562USD ... in Canada, it's at least 600 dollars + taxes
but I have two movies that are locked!

nevermind! i forgot that NA and SEAsia is the same region. whew.
