anyone seen it ? how is the sound/video quality ?
What do you mean it wasn't huge? This is the best Blade Runner has ever looked. The SD DVD looked awful, a terrible transfer that was only a marginal improvement over VHS, while this disc received 5 stars for video. The BD is one of the best remastered older films that I have seen so far - I was impressed with how well the remastering made this movie look given the age of the film. The audio isn't quite as impressive; noticeably better than the SD DVD but not as good as newer mastered audio tracks. If you like this movie, the BD is as good as it gets right now.I have it but then again I have just about every copy or release of Blade Runner sold. The sound and PQ was a bit better then the DVD's but wasn't huge, but then again I could be wrong. If you don't have this in any other format I'd recommend it, but my tastes seem to be differant than most.
it's tops. the other two older movies I think of that have very good transfers are How the West was Won, close encounters of the third kind, pale rider. The Criterion titles, some of them won't top any PQ lists, but formidable jobs. I recommend Bottle Rocket if you want to laff your butt off, yet have a beautiful and consistent pic in the meanwhile.anyone seen it ? how is the sound/video quality ?
No, it's still Blade Runner. I'm sure if you Googled it you would get the full scoop but I'm pretty sure that audio and special features are new and improved type of thing.FINAL CUT, is that like blade runner pt 2 ?
There are a few different versions, all of which are included in the set. The final cut represents what Riddley Scott considers his definitive director's cut of the movie. To be honest, I only noticed one or two small differences.thanx, all. i think i will rent it. i loved it back when, should be great now.

The "Final Cut" that was in the 2007 DVD is my favorite version of one of my favorite movies. I will definitely have to get this one. There are a few different versions, all of which are included in the set. I watched the DVD and I agree with your take on it. I had no idea that Daryl Hannah was that athletic, my goodness. The Final Cut has all the graphics and cinematography of a quality, NEW picture. It doesn't seem like a 27 year old piece at all. This is a must-have flick IMHO.
She probably had a stand-in. Even when actors can do stuff like that, directors don't want to risk them getting injured so they put in a double.I watched the DVD and I agree with your take on it. I had no idea that Daryl Hannah was that athletic, my goodness.![]()
