Bit Bullet on VTF-3 MK2

I posted over at AVS as well.. But here is what I said..

Yeah, the price was to good to pass up. Its a unkown eBay seller but he answered all of my questions quick. And as of now, there is no sour taste in my mouth....

So I picked up the VTF-3 MK2 in Rosewood finish brand new

So if all goes well, I will have to highly recommend him. We will see.... He sold it for lower than he is selling the others. I'm sure to make a first sale... This was the last statement he had stated after I asked on a ETA

(seller)I will pick it up from the warehouse on Monday, ship it out UPS rush on Tuesday and you should get it Thursday or Friday. I really need your feedback once you receive it. I am having hard time selling on eBay. I have so much merchandise and hard to sell.

Oh it will be subjective, but thats a given that I will post on it

I will do some tests with my meter and True RTA, but its hard to do full testing in a retirement condo.

Congratulations Brian, I'm sure you'll be quite happy with the HSU. It's been three months since I purchased my SVS and I'm still amazed how much better my system sounds with music and HT. A nice sub makes a big difference. Don't hurt yourself lifting that bad boy into place.

Its not the sellers fault, as you can see by the tracking info.
He called in for a pickup at 11:00 in the morning/afternoon
Then UPS finally comes to pick it up at 5:30 afternoon/evening
Then UPS by chance leaves it in the shipping terminal.
So instead of what the fellow paid for 2nd Day Air, I am actually getting 3rd Day Air...
(Well 3rd Day Air as of now, lets see if they do it again)

No its not impatience, I just think UPS sucks.

EDIT:: Honestly I have shipped a lot of items, and have had very little problems with Fed-Ex also I use USPS. I have always found UPS overpriced, and a lot of damaged shipments.....

I only use UPS or Fedex ground for heavy stuff (well, I use ground for almost everything, it's so much cheaper).

I'm so with you on UPS. I've never had an issue with FedEx, USPS, or DHL on my shipments. They always arrive on time or early. They actually update their tracking system (UPS sometimes just forgets to update your tracking on the web, so it looks like your package is in Nebraska when it's actually sitting on your front doorstep). And finally, UPS is the only company that consistently puts their packages through "The Parcel Olympics". If you ship UPS regularly, you know what this means

Bottom line: avoid UPS and go with your other options.

HaHaHa, LOL... Yeah that about sums it up....
Granted with a item being shipped 2nd day air, you would think that they know the package is obviously worth more than the shipping cost. 93lbs would be close to 100.00 to ship 2 day air.

EDIT:: Nope, I'm wrong. From California to my house (Florida) its 290.00 to ship a 93lb package to me. BTW, I used a declared value of 500.00 Fed-Ex charges 2.50 for that.

BTW, this sub by chance does go for $953.00
I am assuming the fellow that shipped it must have had a corporate account.
But still even half price is expensive to ship

Tell me about it, even at $145, that's still quite a lot of money for shipping. If I had to pay $290 to ship something, I would rather use that money get that JBL SP120 for $299 shipped from J&R.

Yo, Brian, too bad for you. I got my VTF-3 MK2 in high gloss black Yesterday. Stayed up till 1 this am cleaning house and playing with it. I think you will love it! I upgraded from a Velo 8". All I can say is "Wow". I don't have it dialed in yet and still can't believe the difference. Packaging was incredible, too; double boxed and wraped!

I have another one just like it for sale. I'll post in the classifieds here soon.

He's not paying $290.00 he's getting a big discount. 2nd day air should be ~ $80.00 incl. fuel surcharge (18%) for most forwarders. UPS maybe slightly higher since they really are looking for smaller packages.

Just keep watching it across Brian, it'll get there.

Absolutely beautiful.

Not hooked up yet, but I will say it makes other subs look like toys.
