Big Scam Or what???

The Western Union payment method is another tipoff that this is not a kosher listing-those payments are essentially untraceable in the event of a problem. Run quickly in the other direction unless you have money you don't ever want to see again.

Surprise, surprise...the listing has been removed. Why is anyone surprised that:

1) an "authorized" dealer (which is readily verifiable);
2) who claims he can deliver factory sealed, new flagship products at 85% below msrp;
3) guarantees delivery in western US from the UK in 40 hours;

is a scam? Come on.

YEP............I got an e-mail from e-bay saying they removed the listing because the account was compromised.!!!

Great!!

but how will ebay or what will they do to prevent this. That's the problem in my words. This J a.. will do it all over again and rip someone off!!!!

Caveat emptor, and as a previous poster wrote, there is nothing like a storefront with a reputable business inside in case of a future issue.

Man Oh Man...I went to e-bay and typed in AVR-5805 and no kidding there was about 20-30 fake listings you can tell because they all say E-mail me before bidding.

been there...

I was bidding on an old Adcom amp and someone attempted to hijack my palpal account via phising. I sent the info to ebay no damage to my account, but I dont bid anymore. Every few weeks, they keep trying to phish. Beware of the fake front-end from pay pal, if it looks suspicious, it is.
