From what I can tell they are one in the same.

Not sure on the overstock question.

I believe both these companies:

1.sound distributors.
2.Acousticsounddesign

are authorized dealer for BIC so I don't think it makes a difference who you get it from. If prices are the same, I would email them and see who you feel most comfortable with because customer services goes a long way when things are bought over the internet.
