Hi all,
I already posted a thread in the beginners section on power needed but have another question if that's alright.
I have a pair of B&W 684 speaker which are rated 25-150W, 90dB sensitivity. At the mo I am using a friends rotel amp @60Wpc until I get my own. One option is an arcam alpha9 integrated amp and the alpha9p power amp (both 70Wpc i think) - with this set up I believe I could use the power amp for the speaker LF drivers and the integrated for their HF? so that would be 70Wpc to the lows and the same to the highs. Does anyone know if this is a good idea - would it be enough power? I don't know how much the individual frequencies need or how the HF/LF are split (there are 3 drivers in total). Perhaps I would be better off not bi-amping? any other amp suggestions? any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
