Bi-amp limitations?

Well I do both presently in my system, and to my good ears, it sounds better
than without!

ok, but i bet dollars to donuts that no good ears can tell bi wired from not, and as i said in some cases bi amping does work(but id just prefer a bigger amp unless I designed the speaker and crossover)

who said anything other than that, ive not seen a post with an active crossover mentioned, and unless used that is passive biamping

This was my comment; Even bi-amping is really not worth the bother, unless one is really experienced with using external crossovers, and EQs.

Using an amp with enough power(220w amp or more) to drive the bass/mid-bass drivers will provide a much better sound than using a 110w receiver that is bi-amped. It takes very little to drive tweeters and midrange, and bi-amping would still only provide 110w to the woofers, using that receiver.
But using a 220w amp for the entire speaker would provide almost twice the power to the woofers, compared to the 110w receiver.

When you said both speaker,i assume you are talking about a pair.If this is the case than you wont have any problem to biamp. And since your speakers are rated at 8 ohms don,t worry about the impedance going lower during usage,because your amp should be able to handle it.

I noticed in the owner manual for Paradigms that they recommend connecting to the same prongs on the receiver. So, 4 prongs on 1 speaker & 2 prongs on the receiver.
However, in the manual for my receiver the recommended connection for a speaker is 4 prongs on 1 speaker & 4 prongs on the receiver. Thus using both A and B speaker connectors.
