Better than Polk LSi-15's?

Does anyone out there think KEF Q900 or Monitor Audio RX 6 or 8 would be an upgrade of my current Polk LSi15's?
I want a little easier speaker to drive... More low end and maybe a little more in the mid range too. The Polk's just aren't doing it for me anymore.. I might go to a book shelf with sub too. Not sure yet. My music room/office is 11x13 with a hall way leading into it.
I tried my HT speakers this morning in my music room. These were Klipsch RF82.. Horrible for music. Great for HT.
I know it's recommended to listen before buying but no one in my area sells higher end speakers.. When I bought the Polk's
Sound Advise was going out of business. At that time I got to listen to Focal's too and thought they were fantastic but they wouldn't sell them at the close out price.. These were the 816 or 26's..

Up-grade can be subjective - however, the options are good and not that
hard to drive.

The Monitor Audio RX Silver 6 is nice - and I would prefer the 6 over the 8

This is the Focal that was made for Sound Advice - the 814V

I am trying to keep my budget under 1500.. To be honest. I may go book shelf and a better sub for this smaller room..
Still thinking of the two same brands as well.

Good idea

RX1 Silver - $439 closeout at Audio Advisor
Monitor Audio - Silver RX-1 2-way Compact Loudspeakers-Audio Advisor

Focal 806V - $599 closeout at MusicDirect
FOCAL CHORUS 806V BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS (PR) at Music Direct

SVS PS-1000, or SB12-NSD, or PB-1000, or PB12-NSD can handle the bass

I've owned the LSi15's and the Q900's. If you want better bass I'd go with a sub and bookshelves. Of course you'll have to factor in the price of stands also. You might try a sub with the LSi15's first and see if that satisfies you. A good sub will benefit both the Kef's and Polks. I did prefer the Q900's with a sub over the Polks with a sub.

I doubt that Q900 would be an upgrade n terms of specs, it would sound different for sure and you may in fact consider it an upgrade in that sense. If you are considering book shelves, I would go for the KEF R series, such as the R300, or the LS50 plus a good sub. That should get you more accurate and uncolored (relatively speaking only of course), whether you will like that better than the LSI 15 or not.

I'm going to sell my Polk's and have a question. I have sold a lot on ebay but never something this large.. Seems like it would be a pain but I need to supplement the sell to funds new items.
Any other ideas besides ebay?
