Better option for bookshelf speakers? Buying very soon!

I am purchasing Infinity Primus P362 Front speakers, and Infinity PC350 center speaker. I was thinking about purchasing Infinity Primus P162 bookshelf speakers for rears? For some reason i wasnt impressed with them as much as fron and the center primus.

Question, is there a better option or another make or model in price range
(85.00 piece) that would be much better quality. Want for both music and good surround for movies? Help appreciated. Needs to be real close in price.

I think at that price there would be few speakers that are better. The Primus speakers are really pretty good for their price. I'd stick with the 162s on the theory that they should sound similar enough to the front three. That should give you a seamless surround experience.

The only knock on the Primus speakers is that the cabinets are a little lively. You could consider adding some extra bracing to them if you are handy and don't mind voiding your warranty.

Taking a quick look, it appears they don’t offer an actual “surround” speaker, so the 162 may be the best option. Since their surround duties will be limited, they should do you just fine.

The behringer 2030p is a very neutral speaker within your price range.

The acculine A1 ribbon tweeter based 2 way would be another(however they are out of production for about a month). They are a "dumbed down version of the BG Corp Z series

Unless you are going to do a lot of multichannel music listening, I don't think you will notice a difference between them and a "better" speaker when using them as surrounds. If you really want things to match, go with 362s out back also, but I think the 162s should do fine. When properly crossed over to a sub, you might be surprised at how they do.

I own the p362's and a pc350 and I am using a couple of energy c100 bookshelf speakers,they work for me but I only use my system for home theatre

Just get to more towers.

FYI those towers can be modded to be phenomenal.
