I've heard XP and 7 were the best. My W11 I dunno if it's any better than 10. Any thoughts?
I've been using windows 11 pro at work and I like it fust fine. Needless to say, there's always going to be a slight learning curve with
any software update. If your machine is compatible to get the W11 upgrade do it. My work machine and my laptop both upgraded easily without any issues.
At home I'm using w10 on my w11 incompatible desktop. While there are ways to force the w11 update, I'm just going to keep using it as it. At this juncture I haven't seen any of the software packages I use stop supporting w10. In fact, I was just browsing for new photo editign software and every one I looked at has a single button to start the w10/w11 download.
While they may not be supporting the w10 OS directly, I'm also still gettting security updates as well as updates for the window apps - excel, edge, word, outlook, etc. Still getting updates for all my other software too.
Surpised to hear your XP comment. XP was the one that was known as the least stable. I still have a W7 machine in my music room. It still works fine for what I'm using it for.
IMO, every generation has pushed the bar forward. Not that there were never speedbumps along the way! As I mentioned above, it can be annoying if they change something that you do regularly without thinking to a different a different method. But that just keeps you on your feet
