Hi -

Can you share your experiences on best sound bar/sub combination? I am planning on a second system with less fuss, still sound great and has decent connectivity (atleast 2xHDMI, 1xSPDIF, 1xComponent) to eliminate AVR requirement (I am flexible on AVR requirement if the bar sounds great).

I am currently auditioning Yamaha YSP-4100 BL and it sounds average to me (5/10) when paired with SVS PB12. Definitive SSA-50 is on my list next. I'd like to know if anyone had first hand experience with Slimstage series.

Room dimensions: 13'x12'x8'. Budget $2000

My main system includes: SVS PB12, 2xAperion 6T, 2x Aperion 5DB, 1x Aperion6C, 2xAperion 4B powered by Denon 4308CI. They sound fantastic to me but not to my neighbors!

Thanks!

Thought I 'd close this.

Disappointed with Yammy. Didn't do well (no side walls at my listening positions) and it still needs a sub to make it sound better. Over priced and bulky.

Surprisingly, the Boston's TVee 20 sounded decent and for $300 its priced reasonable. Cons: (1)it cant read remote signals from 15' away (2) just one Red/White input. Give it a try and you wouldn't be disappointed. Best for bedrooms and don't expect it to replace a true 5.1.

The Polk SDA bar has a digital input as well as the wireless sub like the TVee but also costs more.
