I am going to use a projector and for the receiver a Marantz SR7009 I dont know if to buy another set of SR-8040BP for the back channel in 7.1 and i was thinking of potting a atmos speaker on my ceiling to. can any one give me advice sense the space is small I don't know what to use and I will like to get the best sound possible thank you for your time and help.

My room is slightly bigger and I decided that 5.1 would be best for me. Since I've never had a 7.1 system, I don't really know what I might be missing. I find the 5.1 system pretty enveloping in my small room.

I opted for a large plasma TV over a projector for my small room. I'd be interested to hear about your impressions of living with a projector in a small space. I figured fan noise might be an issue.

I have a room that is just a bit larger and I had it set up with 7.1 but with my riser and seats only about 2 feet off of the back wall I ended up going back to 5.1 with larger full range surrounds and I like it better. I have a PJ and a 106" screen and I love it.
