Best ported enclosure for a stereo integrity?

Have you thought about a more uniform approach, i.e. same driver in same boxes ? Or done it?
5 15's all sealed with 1200 rms each is what I have
Or do u mean one box with 5 subs? I have a room mode null in my seat. Only mine. Once I get this dragon under control I will look for other problems.

I don’t understand how there not loud enough at 2.5 cu foot, but maybe op is chasing more ulf ? A large ported box may be ideal . How big I couldn’t say but op has model software.
If I didnt have the nasty null in my seat it would be loud enough.

If that was the thread title , it might been fixed without building a new sub. But you have an extra driver makes sense to use it .
with your 5 15's all sealed with 1200 rms each it’s hard to understand how that’s possible. You should have so much output it’s impossible, maybe someone with a dedicated theater here can help you fix the the nasty null, in any of this houses room a single 15 would be plenty . Maybe you have a placement issue ?

im sure its a placement problem. But its not like I have alot of options. U have seen the pics not alot of room to put subs. In my last room I had 2 12 martin logan subs. Perfect. Same subs in this room sucked. Like no bass at all in my seat. That's when I got the psa double 15 middle of the front. Louder but stilled had a problem so I did 2 15's back left. At that point the bass was loud but still null in my seat and left side heavy on bass. So added the 1 15 on the right side. Smoothed out the bass but still a null. So kinda starting over. Building this ported box going to put it front right. And see how it sounds and see how the bass measurements look.

weird two 12s should still be about as loud or louder than one 15. Probably was a placement problem, trying to fix a null with more output can cost a lot .$$&
What model were they ??
Newer martin logan subs can get crazy $$$.higher output then those old ones . Too expensive for me to afford, except maybe the dynamos .

Misremembered just what you had already a bit, altho the PSA sub is using different drivers....and not sure if the three SQLs are all in same box either. Wattage isn't particularly a great way to think about a sub's parameters, that's just an upper limit of your amp more than anything.

2 15 in one box and 1 15 in one box. 2 on the back left. 1 on the back right. psa double front middle. The martin logan was the dynamo 12. I really liked those subs. If i didn't have kids i would have moved it to my living room setup.

I'm more wondering about using identical subs in more positions rather than different subs in more positions, but.....

If your sql15s are already in sealed boxes, will you change those all over to the ported box if you find a design you'll be happy with? Or start over with 5 new drivers/boxes?

I don’t Understand it if the sql15s are supposed to be a powerful driver , but op wants more spl than they can handle ?
ported is what 3-4 db louder? Around tune?
$475 + each before they were gone . Maybe huge mini/ fridge sized boxes are needed lol  or go up to 18/21s?

Im going to pull one out of my stock and one out of the theater. Build two ported boxes put them up front and see what happens to the null. To do those I will have to put the towers on top of the subs. The boxes im building will have 1.5 inch fronts and tops to handle the weight and be able to bolt the towers to the sub once I find that perfect placement. If being ported doesn't fix it im going to move up to 18's I can't fit 21/24 inch subs.

Why don't you move the subs there now before building new boxes? If the null still exists, then changing the box or changing woofer sizes won't make a difference, that null will still be there.

New box built and tested. Null is gone with a box in the front right. Just finished the front left box. Moving the double 15 psa from the front center to the rear right. I have only tested with the 1 ported 15. Crazy low hz power. Feeding it 1300 rms. No port noise yet.

Update second ported sub in the room. Yes I I'd the second box up. Wife was on me about spending to much time away from the family so I rushed it and by the time I noticed I made the port to tall it was glued and nailed. So it came out tuned to 25.5 hz. Probably wont even notice the difference in sound.

nice !!’
you built them quick . I forgot how to even use the table saw , and the bigger saw is buried in the back of the garage . So if I ever made another diy I’d have to get flatpacks . doesn’t seem like I’ll need another 15 In my room, anytime soon .
I’m trying to run a jamo with it but the xt32 keeps settings the jamo one up better .

Might be an easy fix of making a small filler block to reduce port height. The larger port volume might not matter. Interesting question.

Did you arrive at 25.5 Hz via calculation or measurement?
