Three things to think about are port location, speaker size and amp power.
PORT - Rear ports need breathing room. If you're going to wall mount, look for sealed or front ported.
SIZE - How big are you willing to go? As your cabinet size and woofer size go down, you tend to lose some mid-bass.
POWER - The less efficient a speaker is, the more power it takes to drive it. An 88 dB speaker takes 4 X as much power to play at the same level as a 94 dB speaker.
I recently shoped for front wall mounted speakers, and decided that Klipsch RB-61's were the best compromise for me, based on the above & my price range. Energy & B&W also make front ported speakers you might want to listen to.
