Best On-Wall Mount Speakers

Looking for opinions on good options for on-wall speakers (not in wall). Considering Monitor Audio (Radius 90) and Vienna Acoustics (Waltz) as options but eager to hear other ideas. Primarily for two-channel audio (95% audio and 5% home theater usage) Looking to spend less than $1k

Thanks very much. Rob

Umm i would say go with bose they are like in one word amazing.

JK dont do that, i have heard the vienna's and they sound rather impressive, however i think you would be happier with floorstanding viennas but i suppose that is not an option

Three things to think about are port location, speaker size and amp power.

PORT - Rear ports need breathing room. If you're going to wall mount, look for sealed or front ported.

SIZE - How big are you willing to go? As your cabinet size and woofer size go down, you tend to lose some mid-bass.

POWER - The less efficient a speaker is, the more power it takes to drive it. An 88 dB speaker takes 4 X as much power to play at the same level as a 94 dB speaker.

I recently shoped for front wall mounted speakers, and decided that Klipsch RB-61's were the best compromise for me, based on the above & my price range. Energy & B&W also make front ported speakers you might want to listen to.
