Look for the "Subwoofer Candy" thread too.

I love the Atmos sound on Ready Player One.

I think the first Pacific Rim movie is fun.

I will always recommend anything with helicopters when it comes to Atmos too. :)

@AcuDefTechGuy has a big list of movies he recommends in Atmos and DTSX.
I was just looking at the info for RP1 and found out it’s directed by Steven Spielberg!! Wow what a pleasant surprise..

Did you take it for a spin yet?

Aquaman had some good stuff in it, too, as I recall.

Don’t forget mad max fury road, Wonder Woman, and avengers endgame. All have Atmos tracks. Although WW and MMFR are louder in general while end game needs a MV bump.

I’ve been so busy this week but I’ll find time.

Picked up RP1 after seeing recommendation here; Atmos is great!

I've been seeking the ultimate test disc but there doesn't seem to be one all powerful go to title. Actual DTS:X and Dolby Atmos Demos Disc's are the truest test material.

I've recently discovered the Bohemian Rhapsody movie Live Aid sequence had just the right bass from the kick drum to test certain room vibrations and my screen. Before I made adjustments to the room, the shock waves created from those kicks caused my screen to wobble so intensely the image was blurred.

Interstellar has relentless bass that earlier in my latest home theater build, the projector image slowly started drifting off the screen and onto the right wall. It was on a shelf and it turned into a jumping board when the subs were engaged.

Godzilla King of Monsters and vs Kong are both guaranteed to put a grin on your face because they have everything your sound system needs.

Tron is fun too.

I think “The Band of Brothers” movie is a good one to try, especially during a battle.

Definitely a great series for that. The pacific is good too.

I liked Pacific, and Tron as well. I just started buying more movies for my own small collection this year. Its addicting, at Best Buy I brought up all the movies I liked and had to go put half of them back after I saw the price. I had to laugh at myself for not being disciplined for going in for the one movie I wanted to own.

I’ve decided on Blade Runner 2049 as suggested by AcuDefTechGuy. I’ve already seen Tron and Pac Rim but I might watch The Protege next.
I might wait thought because I might upgrade my system come Black Friday to a 4 speaker Atmos system as I only have 2 at the moment.

I finally figured out my issue with the Marantz. It had Zone 2 and 3 on, so the output for the height channels wasn't working. Now it works!! First movie I tried out was 2049 and WOW it sounds huge with Atmos, just like the theater. Now looking for other good Atmos movies :)

Protege was actually pretty good action flick.

Good for you. Kudos.

Has anyone watch a bluray dvd version of the movie “Platoon” and had any negative thoughts towards the quality of the sound affects?

Bluray or dvd or both? I'm pretty sure I've seen both, don't remember any issues.

Midway was good and so was Godzilla vs Kong. My neighbors complain on that movie. My subwoofer shook the place I live in on that movie. Also Hacksaw ridge and believe it or not a Quiet Place one and two. Subwoofer heaven. I had to disconnect my subwoofer when the police came knocking at my door
