Best Inwalls for low $

I am looking into getting a couple inwalls for my 2 rear speakers in my 5.1 setup to put in the rear wall (left and right sides of my listening/viewing couch). I have heard that the 2 rears are not nearly as important to have as powerful and quality as your 2 fronts. As such, could one get a couple inwall rears (for under $200 total) that would work well? Which ones do y'all recommend in that low price range if any?

What kind of speakers do you plan on getting for your fronts? That should determine what kind of speakers you're looking at for your rears.

I am getting top stuff (aperion towers and center).

However, again, I do not have the $ or room layout to have high quality bookshelf or otherwise rears. And since the rears are mostly for ambience and such during 5.1 movie watching (right?) I was hoping to get some decent (under $200) in-walls that would do the job well (but not take up room space or add to my debt.

I thought the same thing until I watched Star Wars 3 the other night. Man, the DVD puts those guys to the test... I was so happy with the performance, I am going to watch it (hear it ) again this weekend.

NXG are nice sounding and not expensive. You can get some nice Phase Techs for $105 Each. They would ROCK!

Niles and Jamo would be pushing it. But it could be done for around 100 each.

I am doing a 5.1 system in the bed room right now in my house, and I am not sure if I am going to use Jamo or Phase. But they are all going to be in-ceilings. (Except the sub that is traditional)

But for that budget.... Phase Tech is the best way to go. Go to there website and type in your zip. It will tell you were a dealer in your area is.

But the Phase Techs you can probably even get the guy to come down 15 to 20 bucks a piece on and that would be under your 100 each price.

It's best to match all of your speakers so you get a consistent sound. This might not be as important with movies, but for multichannel music, it's a MUST (at least I think so). Seeing how the Aperions are soft dome tweeters, I think you would do well with Phase Tech products.

well since you are thinking aperion......Aperion has inwalls as well, its a new product so i'm not sure if they have them in stock but you can call and ask.....it's aperion so i'm pretty sure they are built well, and sound good

yes I agree if they make in walls go with them. The sound quaility will match all the way around and you will be very happy. Even if you have to save up for them....I say do it. There are 2 golden rules....

1 every one knows its in the bible.

2. The Bitterness of poor quaility last much longer than the joy of LOW prices!

I say do it right the first time...go with in walls that will match your fronts.
