First I want to start off by saying that I understand everyone's interpretation of good sound quality is completely subjective. I plan on auditioning a myriad of setups but ask for some guidance from the people that are educated on the topic.
Here are my specs:
-Living room size: approx. 13' x 19' (open to kitchen 9.5' x 8.5')
-9' ceilings
-Carpeted
Looking for something good for both HT and music (70/30). Already picked my receiver (Denon AVR-790) so just trying to decide on the speaker setup. I have a budget of ~$1500 CAD for a 5.1 setup. Bookshelfs and 8" sub is my preference and no doubt plenty for the size of room.
Just to give you guys some direction, I already looked at Energy RC Minis paired with an ESW-C8 sub. Sounded fantastic but of course I need to hear other options. Found the Axiom Epic Midi 125 interesting.
Any help would be great.
Cheers.
