best free downloaded mp3 ripper and settings for best quality?

hi i got a cd ripper but im wondering if there are better ones avaible thats free to download, this does do the 320kbps, which is good, it also asks me frequency 320000 441000 and 448000 which is best quality, anyone know of a free mp3 ripper with more options for best cd mp3 quality

Ive been using CDex for years ripping at 320kbps with the quality setting at "very High quality" and the sound quality is fine for my uses. If i was going to setup the computer as my only source I might look into lossless and so on. I know alot of people also use a program called Exact audio copy.

I also highly reccomend CDex, a lot of people also like EAC using the Lame encoder.
