I guess you didn't read my DETAILED previous post.

German Maestro home speakers. This is the same folks that built MB Quart QLS 830. NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH MAXXSONICS!

Linea-S is the current model line of the QLS.

I did read your entire post, and it's still a shame.

It is nice that the original team is still around but why did Maxxsonics have to trash a perfectly good and renowned name?

And I am not happy about D&M dropping Snell - I wonder what the
new owners of Klipsch will be doing, with some of the brands that
Klipsch did own. Jamo use to be a good high end name too.

As far as I'm concerned, Klipsch ruined Energy. :(

Me too. I used to be able to get replacement tweeters for my 20+ years old Ref 22. Now I am not sure if I can get support for my 6 years old Veritas. Hopefully there is no need for many more years. Too bad Klipsch can afford to buy people up, I suppose Bose could soon afford to buy Paradigm, Totem or even your favorite PSB just to ruin them..:D

Gawd I hope not. Leave the Canadian alone to build their spekaers . We know what we're doing and less qualified companlies like Klipsch come in and ruin a good thing all for the cost of the all mighty buck. Before Klipsh took over Enerygy, there was nothing in their line that could touch the Energys as far as I was concerned.

From what I believe, it's a communication/pride/greed problem between the Germans and the Americans.

Also, everyone has to make money.

We are greedy.

Germans are extremely proud, and their products are built with a passion few are able to match.

So, one side is greedy. The other has a chip on it's shoulder. On top of that, someone has to translate between the two.

I also believe it was Rockford Fosgates plan to crush Quart. As mentioned, Quart was crushing them.

Maxxsonics believed the Quart name would keep the customer. We are the stupid consumer who don't care if our products are made in China. What they didn't know, is that the Quart customer loved the product so much, it did matter.

German Maestro is doing good in car audio, but they have lost many loyal customers. On top of that, brands like Focal and Rainbow are kicking but.

Forgot to mention that Rainbow is the new German benchmark in car audio separates.

I am cheap, so I just watch ebay for discontinued Quart models for my car audio needs. I have tons of the stuff. Kind-of got wrapped-up in researching the best models, and then waiting and watching.

Same thing with home speakers. I watch for deals on the QLS line, and jump at the right time. Got my last set of QLS 830's for $469.

Why those? Those are like the ugly bastard child of the L20Ts.:D
The JBL L20T monitor has a real walnut veneer cabinet, a higher quality cast basket 6.5" midbass, and a superior model tweeter.
Shoot for the sky!
I got out bid twice, and they retracted twice - it fell in my lap.
I want the L20T - however, not at the current price.

If the 62T is bad, then it will find a new home - or get modified.

Pair of L20T monitors just sold on ebay for under $100 shipped.

On a scale of 1 to 10 > I rate the JBL 62T speaker, a 2.
it is a poor speaker. I plan to sell it - not worth a mod.

I will keep my eyes open for another L20T

The JBL L18t, L20t, L20t3 and L1 are all good bookshelf models to look out for. All three use the same tweeter. The L1 is part of a higher series, but I prefer the look of the L20t.

I like the looks of the L20t - the one that just sold below $100,
had too many cosmetic problems. The L20t gets good reviews.
It has been a long time since, I listened to the L1 - however, I
do have memories of liking it.

Klipsch R F - 8 2 I I @ $1,200 or Heresy III @ $1,400. The Heresy would go great with a sub.
