best bookshelfs under $350 a pair -

The BIC DV62si's are worth a look. They are cheaper than what you are looking at but I think the performance is outstanding. They are a little bright out of the box, but a $30 check and mail the crossovers to Ed Frias, and you have a really great pair of bookshelves, considering you just saved $200 and got a superior product.

You can try totem, I do not know if there prices go that low but if you want performance out of a book shelf type speaker they are the way to go.

love the Totem line up but i don't think they go nearly down to $350.
I would highly recomend looking for a used pair of Totem or some other good speaker on ebay or audiogon. Be careful who you buy from but I have gotten some terrific deals that way. I just saw a pair of totem Tabu's for $600 (were 3000 retail). Model 1's are awesome too and you can find more of them out there.

I have Cambridge Newton series M80's and I am pleased with there performance. Go with the DV62SI's from the British Industry Corporation (BIC).
They lay claim to Garrard turntables, Luxman amplifiers and Wharfedale loudspeakers.

If you don't like them, for $105 a pair, stick them in the garage, basement, or bonus room. I'm willing to bet you'll enjoy them so much, you may even ship the crossover to Mr. Frias ($20) for some of the best sounding bookshelves produced.
