I'm a fan of the Tolkien stuff. Lots of supplemental reading to the trilogy.

I honestly dont read much, mostly just some highly recommended stuff from the madre. She recommended an older Dean Koontz book called The Bad Place. I really enjoyed it.

I'm more of a non-fiction guy.

I think my favorite Rice book was Tale of the Body Thief. Memnoch the Devil was pretty good too. I never read any of her Witch books. Anne Rice is ok, she just irks me with all her touchy-feely talk about love and stuff. "Lestat was overcome by love as her life flowed into his mouth." Blah, blah, blah. If you love her so much why are you killing her?!?! That's why I like the Lumley books so much better. His Vampires are just kick-*** evil monsters that want to rip off your head and slurp the blood from the stump.

Blind Man's Bluff. It is a book about real life incidents in submarines.

I haven't sat down and read a good fiction book in a couple or three years, but I have been reading Brocabulary while in the can. Funny stuff... not as worldly as you guys, but at least I'm reading.

I've been reading Peter F. Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy. I'm on the third book now. All three span well over 3000 pages so it's been keeping me off the streets.

It's some really good space opera if you like that sort of thing.
