You have narrowed yoru selection down to some really good components. If it were me, I would go for 4 of the Monolith THX 12" subs and three of the 1723 THX Monitors. If you space those subs out, that should give you a pretty smooth response even without any equalization, and you will still have tons of output. And the 1723 THX monitors will have the same dynamic range as the towers, just without the low-frequency extension, but you won't likely be using that extra extension since you will probably cross the bass over to the subs. Hell, even the monitors will have more extension than you need. And they will have greater dynamic range than the 1961 series.
