What A/V processor would you suggest for a 5.1 system under $10,000?
Priority is two channel music using either analog-in, HDMI, or USB
Marantz AV10 is the best I could find but it has many more channels than I need.
Is there anything similar to AV10 performance wise with less number of channels in the market?

It doesn't matter how many channels the AVP has. The AV10 is awesome whether it is for 2Ch or 15Ch performance. As of today, I don't think any other AVP can beat the AV10's measurements.

For 5.1 you would still be looking at a processor/AVR that does much more. At the "best" beyond measurements it would be what room correction is implemented. For the best plug and play, Lyngdorf would be my choice. If you're willing to do a little more on the setup, the Denon and Marantz flagships would be my next choice with the DIRAC upgrade.

The Lyngdorf can be had for around 7k..

Many Thanks.
It seems like Marantz AV10 is the best for the price range I'm looking for.

I have the same question under General A/V forum.

Is there any way I can delete my post in the other thread?
