Is there anything similar to AV10 performance wise with less number of channels in the market?
Unfortunately no, the closest ones are all AV receivers that have lower specs and measured not as good, though likely indistinguishable in real world use but that's a totally different and touch topic.
So unless you can eventually find one with fewer channels than 11, or even 9, your best bet would be the ones in the top 5 ranked by SINAD. People might be quick to point out SINAD is just one metric, and measured with a 1 kHz test signal, reality though is, I have not seen too many, or even a few AVPs that top such a chart yet would perform much worse in other metrics than devices that measured much poorer in this SINAD metric. So imo sticking with SINAD only to get a short list, and then search for the other measured performance metrics would be the way to get to a decision quickly (based on just specs and measurements obviously).
The latest Audiosciencereview.com's AVP/AVR ranking chart (by preamp/dac SINAD only):
That means it would be among the AV10, AVM90 and Lyngdorf MP-40, the Denon that rank 3rd is not an AVP.
