Greetings! I just joined this sub and this is my first post and ... surprise .... it’s to ask for some advice. I’m building a new home and the configuration of the bonus room is giving me some problems figuring out the ideal layout for my home theater.
The floor plan as well as a couple picture from a finished house with the same layout as the one I’m building are attached. I can make some minor tweaks to the plan, but currently only difference with my home will be the stairway will not be open with a half-wall. It will be a full wall with a French door (hoping this helps with balancing the sound).
I can get blackout curtains for the window. I plan on getting a projector and doing and doing a Dolby atmos system.
So, how would you recommend laying out the room? Where would you place the screen and speakers?
I can’t think of a way to physically do a 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 based on Dolby’s recommendations.
