Bellari ha540 arrived today. Question

Received my headphone amp today. The Bellari HD540
The box was pretty beat up and the shrink wrap inside was torn off. The plate that protects the tube is beat up. Not sure if it left the factory this way and if I should be concerned.. Any thoughts?

That metal ring, just seems to be a protector for the tube to me. I couldn't imagine that causing any problems to the sound quality.

However, a new item arriving in not-new condition would be a concern to me. I would certainly contact the seller, even if everything seems OK, and let them know the situation. You might even ask for a percentage of the $ refunded to keep the item as-is.

I will after I get it home and test it. There seems to be no marks of any kind anywhere else. Just on that plate.. Not a huge deal.

Maybe you can open those bolts and flip the plate. Hopefully the other side is pristine.

maybe. definitely worth a try if it looks simple.

Last time I tried that at work, it was a piece of polypro that acted as a table covering.....the other side was even worse, somebody already pulled the flip-around years before me on that table.

That's the first thing I was going to do. The other side is a little bit better but..
