I've had some Behringer equipment in the past (bass amps), and it was some of the worst stuff I've ever heard. Now, perhaps their specialty is in loudspeakers and not instrument amplifiers, but am I to believe that my experiences with Behringer don't represent the company?
Did you read the thread:rolleyes:

Yeah, which is why I'm so shocked. Among all of my musician friends, Behringer is a joke. I'm curious if people feel the same way about their musical equipment as they do their monitors.

Behringer copies alot of other companies designs and sometimes get it right.

EP2500 and EP1500 amps
A500 amp
2030p monitors
DCX 2496
CX 2310

are some of "good" products from Behringer.

As with all companies they make great products and bad ones depending on their lines. Behringer makes excellent pro-amps, monitor speakers, and Crossovers.

Sony for example makes great TVs and decent laptops, but their AVRs are sub par.

Behringer makes some superb gear and they make some crap. I agree that their instrument effects and amplifiers are not very good. But they have some great crossovers, pa amps and some good small mixers and the monitor speaker at subject here is an incredibly well made/well measuring product. I don't know of any 'hi fi' speaker that comes close for even 2x the price.

Active versions?

Has anyone taken a look at the active version of the 2030's? I was actually thinking of grabbing a pair of 3030A or 3031A but there isn't a lot of info on them...

;) I think if you do what the first post says you will have your answer
Cute :) However if there is anyone else that is reading this thread that actually HAS experience with the active versions that I guess I wouldn't get the desired feedback I'm looking for unless I ask again. Forums would be pretty poor places for information if you constantly go off of dated information without asking if there are any updates that people could provide.

Fair enough. I'll go demo them tomorrow and see what I think. I see the 2031p's are only a bit more expensive - are they worth the increase in price? These speakers are well within my budget - it's possible that I could even buy a sub at the same time! :)

It's already been stated the amps are defective

Thanks. I had read that but wasn't sure if it was similar to the Behringer A500 amp situation where some were good and others...not so much. Also, hadn't seen enough info on the 3030/1A's to see if it was an issue that as "corrected" in the newer models.

So two years later I finally bought some 2030p. Going to take them back to Korea with me and run them from my pc to a cheap pioneer with a tsc asw8 sub. I'll have a review up next month.
