click on user cp above. If your points went down, then you got a disapproving rep. If they went up, you got an approving rep.

you click on the scales icon next to post # to give out rep. You have to sign it to let them know who gave it.

The more chiclets you have, the greater the amount of points (whether positive or negative).

Although i do give out red chicklets, its in the most selective manor and after ive made some attempt to reason some talking points. Being any other reason makes debate a moote point.

While I don't expect you will ever understand measurements, or even the measurements needed, or the required extensive foundation of knowledge of the underlying perceptual research to interpret such; it is rather silly for you to act this way towards those that have spent years studying these things and applying them.

The mods are simple and are improvements on a well made speaker (its built like a tank) The off axis response is really nice, and even though im using these in a commmercial application, Ive found minimal dead spots in the setup.

Just to add to your statements, in the class I took from Floyd Toole at CEDIA, if the correct tests are done, the confirmation at predicting speakers that listeners would like showed an 87% correlation in blind tests. In other words, you can pretty much predict what a speaker will sound like and whether the general public will like the sound with the proper measurements. So, rather than arguing with Chris, you might want to argue with Floyd

Sure, but the soul of the hobby and the emotion is the music and the movies (the arts). The delivery is appliances (or obsessions in some cases). I think some lose sight of that fact.

Yep, but remember, Dr. Toole is a researcher in the field of psychoacoustics and perception, it is not measurements just to have measurements, it is to discern what objective, measurable phenomena are tied to different subjective likes and dislikes.

I was actually the one who purchased the 2030p's and then convinced Chris to order a pair. I've since convinced five people to purchase them, by simply hearing them. Behringer is practically giving these away at their current price.

I'm %100 satisfied with these, and will never be buying another set of speakers again (unless it's another pair of 2030p's.)

Yes, Waffles had taken some pictures of the inside of the 2030P and shared this images with me. What I observed in the pictures was totally unexpected. I had never seen the quality of parts used as seen in the pictures in a low cost speaker such as this. As a result, I bought a pair to measure and take apart/analyze.

The 2030P is a value unequaled by anything else I know of at this moment. Both the quality of parts/construction and measured performance (as relates to human perception via perceptual research) are what one would expect from a speaker that costs at least 4-5x as much. Now, this only pertains to build and parts quality and measured performance. Cosmetics are not included. The 2030P was intended for utility use (an audio monitoring tool), not for home use in living rooms/dens. As a result, it is not pretty and does not include a grill.

I have only measured/analyzed the passive version. I have no idea if the active unit is as good. Or if the active version has ampllifiers powerful enough to avoid clipping on dynamic passages. Or maybe the amps have an audible hiss? I have no idea.

When I was doing research and determining whether to get the B2030 or the B2031, I noticed that there were quite a few people whose amps on the active behringers quit out. I think it would be a safer bet to use a good amp with the passive speakers.

I've had some Behringer equipment in the past (bass amps), and it was some of the worst stuff I've ever heard. Now, perhaps their specialty is in loudspeakers and not instrument amplifiers, but am I to believe that my experiences with Behringer don't represent the company?
