beginner: Sony SS-F 7000 vs. Infinity Primus P162

I am looking for help deciding between two different class of speakers.

I have a Sherwood RX-4103 receiver with 2 independent channels delivering 105w/channel. I am looking to get a pair of all-purpose speakers on a very limited budget to listen to mp3s and movies in my living room.

After a bit of searching for a speaker set (pair) with budget around 200$, I have narrowed my selection to two speaker sets.

1. Sony SS-F 7000: These floor standing speakers seem to fit my all-purpose requirement and have pretty good ratings. My only concern is the 200watt max power on these speakers on my 105w channels, and I . It does not have a bi-amp to feed two channels either.

2. Infinity Primus P162: This seem to have raving reviews and have a more reasonable 120watt max which is closer to the 105w of my receiver. But I am not sure I will get a more "filling" sound with bookshelf speakers.

Some of my listening preferences, if it helps:

a. I won't claim to be anything close to an audio perfectionist and only look for good pleasing sound. Yes, I do enjoy the suttle tingle here and there, but I am not going to strain myself to hear every little subtilty.

b. I detest the mega-bass sounds out of most vanilla home theater systems and prefer the 2-speaker sounds of the 80s-90s over the home theater sounds of '00s.

I am not interest in changing my receiver since my wife has only sanctioned a +/-200$ budget. Which one of the above speakers am I likely to be happy with?
