I have all my HT gear set up in the basement. For the television upstairs in my bedroom,I just ran a coax from the DishNetwork receiver and hooked it directly to the television in my bedroom. Now in order for me to change channels,I need to run downstairs and chane it from there. It is getting to be a pain. Is there anything out that I can use to be able to just use the remote on the television in my bedroom? Thanks for the help. john.

I used to have a DishNetwork receiver that came with an RF remote instead of an IR. It worked in the upstairs bedroom with the receiver downstairs in the livingroom. Depending on your receiver model, you may just be able to upgrade to an RF remote.

If you want to afford often times you can pay $5 extra a month so then you can have another box and remote upstairs then your wife or girlfriend can watch her show while you're watchin sports downstairs haha

The receiver model is the 622. If it was up to me, I would just spend the extra $5. Not my house, live with roomates.

622 supports two TVs

The 622 supports two TVs; where is your second TV or are you using PIP? Also, the second TV has a wireless RF controller into the 622 receiver.

My Logitech 890 Pro with RF Extender really irks the heck outta me.

It's so iffy in performance. Need to do some delay tweaking and Logi support has to fix some IR codes for me (can't modify discrete hex codes yourself).

could a person use a channel modulator where the dish is and have that available on any tv that is tuned into the programmed channel?
