What about modifying your current speakers so they sound better? Philharmonic Audio updates the stock Pio's with parts to enhance them, so it stands to reason they would be willing to make the changes to yours. That could potentially save you some money, since the largest cost would be the initial purchase price (which you've already absorbed because you own the speakers now).

J I don't think GR has any csb1's left in bstock, I recommended them to a couple members and both PM'd me back saying the contacted them and didn't have any left.... I guess its still worth a shot...
As far as them nearfield, I think its kind of a waste because once you get them set up correctly they have a HUGE soundstage, it seems like the further apart you put them the more noticeable it is... But I have a roller chair in that room and when I am flipping through albums I roll all over and they sound good close up far away upside down, they are one of my favorite speakers...

I haven't talked to him in a while, but they must have been selling well or something then. Last time I asked him, he said they had a cargo container full, and that was earlier this year. They're that good that it doesn't surprise me if they've sold out.

I'd like to do that too, but I have towers and the center. I sold my BS22s to some friends really cheap because they needed some inexpensive speakers, then I bought the towers. Dennis previously said in another thread that the cost of shipping both ways is probably not worth it unless you live near him. For me, I'm about as far as I can get from him I think, so sucks for me

I understood what you were saying - mine was just a general overall statement,
since I was listing the links.

It would be possible for some people to try, and then mess up their speakers.

I've modded a number of my speakers, so it doesn't really scare me, but having Dennis do them is that much better Might be a good excuse to buy a new soldering iron that I want though....

I bought 2 pairs, my office manager bought a pair, my brother bought 2 pairs, and I know at least 5 other people I told about them bought them plus all the people on here we told about them, I am not surprised that they sold out... lol...

Could always go with two centers But they're sealed so slightly different. I'll bet he has some towers left too, so if I round out the system with these it will be towers. Two people I recommended them to bought them as well.

The HSU's are very hard to beat for the money. I am running them and the center with sub in my 5.1 system. I will replace my rear Polk's when disposable income comes free again. The speakers sound excellent, vocals are clear and well defined. They do need the sub, but with it crossed over at 80 hz (What Hsu recommends) you don't feel you are missing anything. You can listen to them for hours and never get tired of listening to the music which I do mostly. Watching movies they bring the movie to you and will hear things you may not have heard before. I highly recommend them.
