I use a laptop for my main pc and have a dsl connectiontion.
Looking for an inexpensive option to stay connected when the lights go out.
With the power requirement of 12V, 0.5A, is there a better idea than a standard ups designed for a pc?

PS: since outages are rare, I could manually switch the power source.

Thanks!

Not really. Get a name brand like APC. The larger the unit, the longer you have online.

Yeah, just get a normal UPS. I'm a fan of the cyberpower pure sine wave units as well as APC units in general.

I think ups is your best bet. The higher the capacity - the longer the router will have power

I think you have to plug your modem into the UPS as well.
