Not sure about Heath as Joker, but will reserve opinions for now (I think he could pull it off, but we'll see). I liked Begins and I'm a fan of most of Bale's work, but I also enjoyed the earlier films as well - yes, Keaton was great. This teaser has been out for some time.

I also prefer Keaton to all the other Batmen so far. Which is funny, because way back when they made that announcement, I thought it was crazy. I wasn't a big fan of Begins, although the HD-DVD made me like it a little more. The sound was pretty awesome.

I like Bale over Keaton personally, I just couldn't take Keaton all that seriously when I relate him to Beatlejuice and Mr. Mom.

I want for them to release another trailer. I bet we don't see one until Christmas or later.

That was a classic movie, but how can you compare him with those movies?
But I see your point.:)
I just watched those two particular movies too many times so he was always a funny man to me. Bale has generally had more serious roles.

Michael Keaton plays the serious role in Batman pretty good IMO. Combine his performance with Jack Nicholson, you get one heck of a show.:)

I thought Keaton did an even better job of portraying Bruce Wayne as a tortured soul in the second movie.

What was that one movie where Keaton played a convict that was supposed to donate an organ to some kid and ended up escaping from the hospital? I remember him playing a pretty evil guy in that one.

I saw one picture of him before that looked OK. In that one he looks kinda goofy...

Oh, man, I hope they don't try to make this Batman sequel all BRIGHT & COLORFUL like all the other Batman sequels!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Can the Joker just be the Joker without looking so ridiculously silly colorful?

I posted this over a month ago at another forum, and did not see it posted here.

So how many of you Batman fans, looking forward to the new Bale movie?
Personally, I liked Keaton as Batman.
Holy smokes......... reaaaaaly?

My 2 cents....
For me, Batman Begins was 1000% better than the cartoon'ish predecessors and I think they have taken the franchise in an exciting new direction. I like how they returned to the dark essence of what Batman is, and left the dopey cartoon'ish BS aside. Yes I enjoyed the first 2 with Keaton, but the new direction is a huge improvement. Comparing the two (new batman vs old tv/movie version)......is like comparing apples to oranges.

I compare the turn in direction to the Bond series when the new Casino Royale came out. The drastic change in direction is much darker and scarier.... and they have a reality based feel to them that all their predecessors lacked.

Do you see where I am coming from?

To answer your original question.... HELL YES I am looking forward to it!

BB2 is already on my must buy list!!

Yes, but is the Joker really wearing CLOWN MAKE-UP?
Is that going to work with the DARKER more SERIOUS theme?

Watch the new trailer. He's not some burglar wearing clown clothes.. he's a psychopath. I think he looks disturbing. I can't wait to see this.

For me, Batman Begins was the Best Batman movie to date. Honestly, I thought the other ones sucked regardless of who played Batman. Bale does a good job. I like the direction the BB took. I hope it continues. BB is the only Batman movie I would consider purchasing.
