Bass management with RX-V2600????

Guys, just have a concern with my new 2600. I'm wondering if my main speakers are getting full range signal, i have them set to large and the bass out set to both and crossover set to 60Hz. It seems that they are not working very hard playing bass heavy music, they are very bass capable (as reviews indicate) and i want them to play full range. So i guess my question is with the above mentioned settings will my mains receive a full range signal or not, or will they just receive the freq. above what my Xover is set to on the receiver?? I thought that setting size to large automatically ment they would get full signal but not sure. Oh forgot to mention that i am powering my mains with two nad amps (C372 & C272 wired in BI-amp configuration) from my 2600 main pre outs so power should be ok. Thanks.

If you set them to large they get full range. If you set them to both they get full range but not LFE.

In addition to what fergusonv said...

If you set it to Both, the bass below the xover that is going to the Large speakers will ALSO go to the sub. Yamaha receivers used to call this feature 'LFE+MAIN' (did they change it to 'Both'?). Pioneer calls it 'Plus' and Onkyo calls it 'Double Bass'. They all behave the same way.

LFE will always go the sub (if present) unless you set the subwoofer off in the receiver menus - in which case it will go the Large speakers.

Since you are bi-amping the Golds, you need to make sure the two section’s output are balanced (equal SPLs). It would help to know what their Xover points are. There should be two, since they are 3-way speakers.

Bi-amp with Yamaha RX-V2600?

I have the same Yamaha RX-V2600 receiver and I'm looking at geting the Polk LSi9 5.1 speaker system (including two pairs of LSi9's, the LSi center speaker and the 505 subwoofer).

Since the Yamaha is a 7.1 receiver I'm wondering if I can use the 2 additional channels to bi-amp the front pair of LSi9's?

If so, will this set-up improve the performance over a regular non bi-amped configuration? Any suggestions on speakers/set-up?

Thanks in advance for your help.

AVRat, not sure what you mean by the outputs need to be balanced, the two NADS are getting the same signal since the mains pre out signal is split via a y-adaptor and the two amps have exactly the same power, and as for Xover points, i am once again not sure your meaning. Are you employing that the signal for my woofer for instance should have an external Xover so it only receives specific frequency range entended for the driver. I did read my golds manual and for bi-amping it just shows the two amplifiers connected the same way i have it done, no mention of any other devices needed, just to make sure that the jumper on the speaker terminals is removed.
