Are they worth the money? If I can't get a wireless set up for my ipod i might go with their BeoSound 4 system. $1K. stuff sounds great in the store but is it better than, say the Bose 10?

I asked a similar question a few months ago regarding B & O's quality. From what I gathered, they are great if you have the money. Compared to Bose, B & O will most definitely be better.

I might put it differently, more like "they're (typically) quite good, but overpriced" (You say half-full, I say half-empty). If someone is interested in bang for the buck (instead of Bang for the buck), look elsewhere. And definitely don't look to Bose, either.

The BeoSound is definitely slick looking, I'll give it that. If design is worth $ to the buyer, that could change the equation. It also has a lot of features. I don't have personal experience with it but if beneteau63 doesn't need all of those features, there are definitely more cost-effective alternatives.

(For example, at the other extreme, a headphone jack to stereo-RCA adapter will cost a few bucks, if one just wants to stream from a portable player to an existing receiver).

B&O is nice but IMO overpriced. I wouldn't buy anything they offer at their full asking price.

Yes, I have heard plenty of B&O equipment. They have plenty of 'nifty' features that I feel are more about bragging rights than anything of real audible value.

B&o

thanks for all your messages. So if B&O is overpriced and you wouldn't go to Bose, then any other suggestions?

What are you looking to have the system do exactly? Do you have a budget you would like to stick to?
