Those terminals will accept banana plugs, except for the spring loaded terminals, those will require bare wire.

Thanks....man you are all over this forum :)

What gauge wire should I use from my wall plate to my receiver? Does it really matter? Its only going to be about 5 feet.

I prefer 12 gauge, but 16 should be fine. Just make sure it fits the plugs you get/have. Look into GLS if you don't have any.

Yeah I was thinking 12g. I found plugs that accept 12g and 50ft of 12g wiring on monoprice shipped to my door for $40. Sounds reasonable to me.

I don't know what gauge wire is built into my walls from my plate to where my speakers will go, but I'm not about to pull that out :D

the monoprice banana plugs are good, but you may have a hard time working with 12 guage with those plugs, I'd just get 16 guage since that will be fine for the lenght of your run, and the power you are using. I also use monoprice wire and banana plugs and they work great.

12g is nice but 16g should be fine. If you unsrew the cover plate from the wall you may be able to see what gauge the wire is behind it.
