So does Bluejeans. I use their locking ones and they work very well.

I have some banana plugs from Radio Shack that have worked great for me for years. They have two halves (per plug) that screw together to make the connection to the wire.

Seriously, I have no life.
I never got a correct contact with them (on amplifier) resulting in un-balanced sound (left/right) and modified sound characteristics.
.
Expand on this, please. What do you mean you didn't get a correct contact?
Was it tight enough going in or just flopped in and out?
If the plug was snug, no reason for any of your implications to happen in an audible manner, none.

As to sharing, everyone is free to do so. Just because an experience is questioned doesn't mean anything, only that it needs more explanation, or not. And, so what if others disregard it? Happens all the time.

It was always loosing the contact on the amplifier side.
It was between the banana and the WBT speaker plug on the amplifier.
Don't know why. I have no clue.

I was having issues with the sound consequently and had to plug out and in again the bananas to get back to normal. And this once a day at least. (has it ever been normal by the way?)

Since I use spades, this problem is not recurrent anymore.
So this is my opinion and conviction not to use bananas anymore whatever convenient it is. Finally, I don't need to plug and unplug every 2 hours. So what is the point of this so called "convenience".

What is the reason some people find these banana plugs "convenient" ?

it's convenient because I plugged it in months ago ... and have experienced no such problems.

it's either your banana plugs are busted ... or the connectors at the amp side are.

Was it loose in the WBT connector when you unplugged it and reconnected? Was is snug?
Most people don't seem to have your problems with banana plugs so we just cannot imagine what you had and what you could have experienced.
It is great that the spades resolved your issues.
