doesn't the speaker and amp need to support the locking style interconnects? sorry if this is a silly question but these were suggested as if it doesn't matter. Just curious.
The locking plugs work on simple pressure, so most binding posts should handle them fine. You tighten the collar and it applies outward pressure at the tip which doesn't really "lock" them in place, but holds a lot better than a standard plug. In my case, the binding posts are split inside for mounting reasons (for a screwdriver for holding while tightening the internal nut) and the tips end up pushing too far apart and breaking.

The ones I ordered showed up today, will be trying them out tonight.

so when you screw was touching the wire, it would break?
cause i screwed them in pretty tightly to make sure it holds. but it doesnt look like it did any damage, what size are the wires?

I will have to take a pic. When you tighten the collar down it would push the split tips too far apart and break them off inside the binding post because the binding posts aren't normal. I am using 4S11 which is quad 14awg so two 14awg per connector.

I got the knukonceptz bananas last night and at first I wasn't sure they were going to fit the wire correctly either, but they fit fine and they fit the wires fine and my speakers perfectly, so thanks JinJuku. They don't feel 100% positively attached to the wires, but a little shrink wrap will take care of that. Will take pics once I have a chance to get them the way I want them.

There wasn't room for the shrink wrap between the shell and the pin, so I just went on top of the shells:
