Badfinger's "Head First" was recorded in 1974, but never saw the light of day until the year 2000 when a rough mix on CD was released. It was the last recorded album by the band until Joey Molland and Tom Evans put out two LP's in the late 70's as Badfinger. Those are both pretty good, but it's not the band. It is finally coming out as intended next month. I got my order for the LP in this morning on Amazon the minute I heard you could finally pre-order it. It'll be interesting to compare the CD rough mix with the bona-fide release. It is almost the original line-up. The album is sans Molland, but has Bob Jackson as the fourth member.
Here is a track from the rough mix CD that should have been a smash single in '74.
