B&W Speakers price increase?

I've decided to get new B&W 804S speakers, but I'm holding off on making the purchase until August. Does anyone know if B&W plans to raise the price on their 800 series (or any of their speakers) in the near future? I would hate to pay more for the same thing by waiting a few months.

If there are any price increase plans, I will not hesitate to buy them sooner.

Well, you know Bryston, Paradigm, & DefTech recently raised their prices. I would not be surprised if B&W also raised their prices in the near future. Of course, they won't tell you that in advance.

Would dealers be privy to such info? Did the other companies who recently raised prices also raise prices when B&W last raised theirs?

I know they already did one increase a few months back and it was discussed in this thread. So this would be a second increase if it were to happen.

With regards to fuel prices, it would not surprise me if any company raised their prices.

I would bookmark Audiogon, first of all. You'd be amazed at some of the prices that roll through there.

Second, talk to your dealers, give them your #, and tell them to call you when someone trades in their 804s. Or to call you if they are selling their demo's.

If you're fine with that kind of stuff. I know of someone who got those exact speakers after someone else traded them in to upgrade to Diamonds.
