sup people, been looking for some help... moving into a new place, got myself a Pioneer 151fd TV, been doing research as far as speakers....

i dunno if im making right choice by going on wall... it looks like a cleaner look, but the floor standing ones are nice, decision still up in the air....

i found a pair that caught my attention the B&W FMP6, does anybody know how good these sounds, main purpose will be to watch movies and sports, and at times some TV shows mostly HBO content... i will be going 5.1 also

anyhow all the help i can get i would appreciate, its hard to trust some people at these stores when they don't always carry many brands, and can be bias cause of what they have.

Ive heard those B&Ws & they sound very nice, but that is my opinion. What you need to do & what everyone here will tell you is to DEMO, DEMO, DEMO!!

Listen to as many different speakers as you can, take notes & dont rush. You will be making some sacrifices by going on-wall. If you can manage the "look" of monitors &/or floorstanders you will get a better sound & more flexability with placement.

What is your budget & room dimensions?

Remember that audio is extremely subjective. Your own ears are the best critic to listen to.

Give us as much info as possible though & we will try & point you in the right direction.

Welcome to the chase!!!

my B&W FPM setup

I have owned the B&W FPM5 (L/C/R front stage, all wall mounted) and FPM4 (surrounds on the B&W stands) for a little over 6 years. I took a leap and purchased them right around the time they were introduced, and have been very happy with them. As they have a nice glossy black bezel, they look very clean and modern when you mount them around a flat panel TV. I use them with a B&W PV1 subwoofer. If you are looking for a modern/clean look and don't want to go the in-wall route, I would recommend these speakers. However, they are quite expensive - if you could tolerate freestanding speakers you will definitely get more performance for your dollar. I have attached a photo of the LCR setup below. The TV is an older 50" Pioneer plasma.
