B&W MT-50 vs B&W MT-60 for small hometheater

hey
i want to know whether the B&W MT-50 is more than enough for a proper home theater room with acoustics of the size 12.5 by 11ish feet ?
since it is the small room i want to knw the difference .. whether its much or not much.. cus i need to knw if its worth payin all the way up for the MT 60 when the MT 50 is more than enough ..

oh and also i want to know sry this is out of topic question but .. i want to knw if the Kef 3005se is a better pick than the mt 50

At $1500 - $2000 for those two, they're both rather overpriced for what you get. Considering this AH review of the B&W MT 50, compares them to an HTIB... Ok ok, they say, "the MT-50 system crushes your average home theater-in-a-box speakers" .

The NHT Super Surround 5.1 or Acoustic Energy AE12 5.1 are much better value for money in the 'satellite + sub' form factor.

If you really want to spend $1500-2000, 5x EMP Tek E5Bi with 2x ES1010i will not just crush, but pulverize the B&W or Kef sets.

U havnt cleard my questions tho .. why I want to go for the B&W or paragdim or kef is cus of quality with sound quality and ofcourse elite name it has got .. plz can I knw the answers to my doubts ? oh when I said elite I referred to paragdim n b&w I dno much abt kef

The MT50 specifically will be enough, but then again, any well designed satellite+sub system will be enough.

The MT60 is not worth the $1000 more (the main difference is the subwoofer). I doubt you'll be able to tell the MT50 and MT60 apart in use.

No, they're more or less the same. If anything, the Kef is more expensive than the MT50 and I doubt you'll be able to tell them apart in use.

These brands (including Kef) definitely produce very good products and are famous. Some of their products definitely fall into the "elite" category. That said, they all produce products that are not worth the money you pay for them. Further, their products have huge markups. So, you are paying for the brand name/ "elite" image and up to 50% profit for everyone in the chain. On the other hand, products from non-elite brands have to perform better than their price point, to get positive reviews.

Hi I am new but I am really interested as to what sub sat you took because I am thinking in similar lines
and where B&W is concerned I am pretty much satisfied as I own a DM 600 series for my existing system
but I realised that there were problems with floorstanding speakers in a small sized room as the entire system used to
overwhelm the entire listening area and more over wires and stuff used to run around in short it was a mess
...even though mine wasnt soundproofed or anything. But I have decided on one thing unless i have a really big listening
space I am not going in for floor standers and hence I intend to buy the sub/sat.The Watt hifi reviews have been very encouraging
so I would really like to know what you did in the end.
