Up for grab a vintage loud speaker set that has moderate cosmetic blemishes but otherwise sounds great.

I tried posting this on a classified not gear towards audiophile and did not get a lot of interest. Thought i tried here instead in hopes to find a new owner.

I'll be quite transparent here, I am a complete n00b with audio related hardware so I am not sure what the real value is with this set.

From the quick research I did on google (not a lot of information on speakers manufactured in the 90's), I am guessing this may be worth some where in the 900 dollar range? With that said, I am selling these for 900 dollars :)

Local(Los Angeles) pick up only since these suckers are quite heavy.

Why would you have such speakers if you aren't into audio?

Seriously, I have no life.
That tweeter does look severely damaged.

Before selling the unit, the owner needs to know if that tweeter is still available. I doubt it is. In which case as complete speakers they are pretty much worthless.

He will get more money out of them parting them out if the tweeter is NLA. If NLA, he should remove the drivers, and crossovers and sell them individually on eBay. Then junk the cabinets.

I suppose i can take a closer picture of the tweeters. The center cone is dented in but it is still producing clear crisp sound. I would say it is damaged from a cosmetic standpoint for sure, but I can't say for sure that the dented cone has any impact on the sound quality.

Regardless, willing to come down on pricing since I prefer not to go through the trouble to part out the set if it comes to it.

Parents got con into buying a set of speakers beyond their needs. It is sitting in the garage, and I am just clearing it up for them.

The tweeters should have a cover on them as well.
